  • How should I care for my Skapandi wool product?

Although all up-cycled wool sweaters have been felted, I recommend washing your wool products in cold water by hand or by machine gentle-cycle, using a mild detergent. Hang or lay flat to dry or tumble-dry on low heat. Because most of my products are lined with bamboo organic cotton fleece, do not use chlorine bleach and I recommend that you not use fabric softener.

For 100% up-cycled wool products with faux fur, follow the same recommendations as above. DO NOT put in the dryer.

For 100% new wool products with faux fur, DRY CLEAN ONLY.

    Here are some helpful hints:

    • By lightly brushing the wool, using a lint brush or wool brush, it will give it a fresh look and will help remove any surface soil that might become stains later on.
    • Treat stains as soon as possible by blotting with a clean wet cloth, and never use paper towels.
    • If your wool product gets wet, leave it to dry on an absorbent surface such as a cloth towel. Keep away from direct heat such as a radiator or in front of a fire.
